Our 2018-19 Grants

In 2018, we made grants for nearly £10,000 from our community fund for projects to be run in 2019.

This was the second set of grants to local charities made from the proceeds of our energy generation.

 

Abbey Physic Community Garden

£3,000

For the project ‘Bees, Bugboxes and Blooms Amongst the Tombs’ to take therapeutic horticulture in St Mary’s Churchyard to a new level during Abbey Physic Community Garden's 25th anniversary year to benefit both wildlife and people.

Brogdale Collections

£4,194

For a project on bee conservation and education, including support for five new bee hives in the newly installed Garden of Wildlife at Brogdale Collections Faversham site.

Halpern Charitable Foundation

(trading as Nucleus Arts)

£2,800

To install energy efficient LED lights at its Community Arts Centre in Chatham to improve the quality of light for clients and enable additional services by reducing running costs.
